Whether you're a tradesman, a B&B owner or a creative professional, at Smart Sites we feel everyone should be able to have a beautiful yet affordable website. And this is just what we offer with our transparent, fixed price website packages.
A page module is a special element for your website, such as a contact form, an image slider, a testimonials block, an image gallery and many more. You can use each page module multiple times throughout your website with varying content. For instance, if you selected an image gallery as one of your page modules we can display this image gallery on various pages with different images in each gallery.
Yes you can. Our websites are based on the popular Wordpress CMS (Content Management System) and also feature an easy to use visual page builder. So you can easily update any of the pages on your site yourself. If you prefer us to do this for you then you can simply email us your amends and we'll simply charge you for the time used to update your website. So if it only takes us 10 minutes to update your pages, we'll only invoice you for 10 minutes of our time at our current hourly rate - it's that simple.
Yes of course. The websites we create are based on the popular Wordpress CMS (Content Management System) and also feature an easy to use visual page builder. So you can easily add any number of new pages to your site yourself. We supply our clients with a basic training manual on how to do this. We also offer one-on-one (zoom) training sessions as a bolt on package.
Yes, we offer personal and friendly support for anything related to your website. For the first 14 days after your website going live this support is even free of charge (within reason). After this, support is charged at our hourly rate with no minimum amount. So if you only needed support for 10 minutes during one month then that is all you will be charged for.
There are lots of other things included in your website package, such as Google Site Kit analytics, an email encoder to reduce the amount of spam, regular site backups and free support for 14 days from your website going live.
This depends on different factors such as size and complexity. As a guide, for a Starter or Pro Website it normally takes around 4-6 weeks to be ready. This includes the initial concept & design stage, as well as the build, testing and optimisation stages. A lot also depends on the client; if you have all copy and images ready we can create your website in a timely manner. In a rush? We do offer a fast track service - look for it in our Bolt On list.
Most clients will only have two types on ongoing costs associated with their website. The first one is hosting; this is an annual fee to keep your website 'live' or online on the internet. Costs for website hosting are detailed below. The second ongoing cost is for your domain name registration. This is needed to keep your domain (e.g. www.mydomain.co.uk) and any associated email addresses fully functional. Our current charge for domain name registrations and renewals is £12.50 per year for a .co.uk domain and this is invoiced on a bi-annual basis. Any ongoing costs are always clearly highlighted in your website proposal so there won't be any nasty surprises. You can find out more about our hosting and domain rates in our Terms & Conditions.
We charge £20 per month for our standard hosting package. This includes at least one email address, regular backups, a secure website certificate (SSL) and a 99.9% uptime guarantee. Our clients can also pay for a year up front to receive 2 months free hosting (£200 instead of £240). You can find out more about our hosting services in our Terms & Conditions.
